I’m very happy to be taking a fresh look at this blog. My original goal was to write stories that would contribute to a larger project I’m working on. But today I decided to use this blog to focus on content that isn’t really part of the theme of Being Yordie Sands. Briefly, here are the topics I plan to work on with this blog:
- Commentary on real life issues
- Thoughts about blogging & writing
- Probing technical issues, such as SL viewers
- Opinions about Second Life and SL residents
- Commentary on Linden Lab
- And… Stories
Being Yordie Sands is a blog about my life as an avatar; it is filled with exploration and discovery. This blog is for me to begin my quest to become a writer. Also, in the past couple years I’ve felt uncomfortable publishing certain types of posts in the main blog; such as, each time I expressed my opinion about problems at Linden Lab. I’ve named this blog Yordie Sands Notebook and that will have to do until I discover what this blog will be.
When I began blogging about my life as an avatar, I called the blog My Moveable Feast, referring to Ernest Hemingway. I was living on New Key West sim at the time and used to do my blogging from a cafe across the road from the Hemingway House. In time that blog became Being Yordie Sands. So, as I like to say (and as T.S. Eliot once wrote), our beginnings never know their ends.
